If the washing machine is to come along to the campsite, the holiday home or the caravan, two things matter above all: low weight and no need for a connection. The CLEANmaxx 07475 is tailored to exactly that: a portable mini washing machine weighing around 6 kilos that you carry anywhere by the handle. It washes up to 3 kilos and, unlike a pure single-chamber appliance, has a separate spin function (up to 1.5 kg) that wrings out the laundry better. You fill in water by hose or bucket, and a fixed connection is not needed; inlet and drain hoses are included. With two programmes (wash and spin), timer and LED it is quick to operate. To be honest, it is not a fully automatic machine either: with only one simple wash programme and overfilling, cleanliness suffers, the spin cycle vibrates noticeably, and the build is designed for mobile use, not continuous operation. For camping, travel and occasional washing on the move, though, it is a practical, light solution.

CLEANmaxx 07475: what works and what doesn't?

What works well

  • Portable (~6 kg): Light with a carrying handle, for camping, travel, caravans
  • Separate spin function: Wrings out better than pure single-chamber minis (up to 1.5 kg)
  • No water connection needed: Filled by hose/bucket, hoses included
  • Compact (~53 cm high): Fits in the boot, the cupboard, the caravan
  • Simple to operate: 2 programmes, timer, LED, quickly ready to go

Points of criticism

  • Only one wash programme: Washing performance suffers when overfilled
  • Designed for mobility: Build quality not for daily continuous operation

Build quality & everyday use

What carries the CLEANmaxx 07475 in everyday use: portable (about 6 kg) (light with a carry handle, for camping, travel, caravans) and separate spin function (wrings out better than pure single-drum minis, up to 1.5 kg). We have to be honest about the weaknesses: only one wash programme, and washing performance suffers if overfilled.

If you set the device up to save space, make sure it stands on a stable, level surface with some air around it. This protects the mechanics and electronics in continuous use.

“CLEANmaxx 07475 Mini Washing Machine (3 kg, Camping): portable (~6 kg) and a separate spin function, with only one wash programme as the trade-off. At 7.3/10 a fair deal from €100.”

Frequently asked questions about the CLEANmaxx 07475

Which mini washing machine is suitable for camping?
What matters is low weight and operation without a fixed connection. The CLEANmaxx 07475 weighs only around 6 kg, has a carrying handle and is filled by hose or bucket, ideal for a campsite, caravan or holiday home. It washes 3 kg and has a separate spin function. For pure budget demands the Steinborg is cheaper, for more power the tectake Twin-Tub.
Does the CLEANmaxx 07475 have a spin function?
Yes, it has a separate spin function for up to 1.5 kg, which is more than a pure single-chamber appliance offers but less than the 3.5 kg spin chamber of the tectake Twin-Tub. The laundry comes out decently wrung, but with a full wash load you spin in two portions.
Does the CLEANmaxx 07475 need a water connection?
No. You fill the water through the supplied inlet hose (e.g. from the tap) or a bucket, and it is pumped out through the drain hose. A fixed connection is not needed, which makes it suitable for camping, travel and flats without a washing machine connection.
Does the CLEANmaxx 07475 get laundry properly clean?
For lightly to normally soiled everyday laundry, yes, as long as you don't overfill it. It has a simple wash programme; with too full a drum or heavily soiled laundry it reaches its limits. For the road and occasional washing the performance is enough, but for the complete household laundry a larger machine is the better choice.
7.3 / 10 · Camping & travel

Verdict: is the CLEANmaxx 07475 worth it?

A solid option with a clear profile: if you can live with only one wash programme, from €100 you get one thing above all: portable (~6 kg). Best suited to: camping, travel & caravans.
