⌗ Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions.

What power station size do I need?

It depends on consumption: for laptop, light and phone 250 to 500 Wh is enough, for a cool box over several days 1,000 Wh and more. LiFePO4 batteries last longest and are the better choice for frequent use.

How many watt hours of power bank are allowed on a plane?

Up to 100 Wh in hand luggage without approval, which covers almost all power banks up to 27,000 mAh. The conversion: watt hours = (mAh ÷ 1,000) × 3.7. Power banks must never go in checked baggage.

Is a power station worth it for saving electricity?

With a dynamic electricity tariff or a balcony power plant, yes: charged in cheap time windows or with solar power and discharged in expensive hours, a power station saves 20 to 30 cents per kilowatt hour, minus charging and discharging losses.
