Anker SOLIX C300: what works and what doesn't
What works well
- Two real AC sockets: 2× 230 V output with 300 W (600 W peak) also powers devices with a mains plug, unlike pure DC stations
- Bidirectional 140 W USB-C: one port charges in both directions: fast charging of the station and strong output for laptops
- Fast charging: via a wall socket to about 80% in 50 minutes according to the manufacturer, via solar in around 2.5 hours
- Very quiet: only 25 dB at 1 metre distance, hardly disturbing in a tent or motorhome
- Long warranty: LiFePO4 battery with up to 3,000 cycles and a 5-year warranty, plus temperature control and shock resistance
Points of criticism
- Solar panel optional: the 100 W panel for solar charging is not included and has to be bought separately
- 288 Wh limit the runtime: for continuous operation of power-hungry devices the capacity is only partly sufficient, and it is better suited to electronics and short uses
- Panel compatibility limited: according to the manufacturer not compatible with the Anker SOLIX PS30 solar panel, so check for suitable models when buying

Build quality & everyday use
What carries the Anker SOLIX C300 in everyday use: two real AC sockets (2× 230 V output with 300 W, 600 W peak powers devices with a mains plug too, unlike pure DC stations) and bidirectional 140 W USB-C (one port charges in both directions: fast charging of the station and strong output for laptops). We have to be honest about the weaknesses: solar panel optional, the 100 W panel for solar charging is not included and has to be bought separately.
If you set the device up to save space, make sure it stands on a stable, level surface with some air around it. This protects the mechanics and electronics in continuous use.
